I honestly dislike Local Chat recruiting in general, but it does raise awareness so IDK.
I think that the solution to this does not lie in a code of honor, because the corps that hijack are already dishonorable.
I believe the solution is to have an in-game mail competition.
Players puts on local Chat: "looking for corp" <===That is wrong. They should put "looking for corp, mail me for recruitment"
Then the corps would put together a well-written letter with reasons to join their corp. That way, no corp knows of another corp that is recruiting that same person. Therefore, no other-corp slandering occurs, or should.
If it does, it's unlikely that the corp they slander will be relevant unless, lets say PFBHz puts out an Advertisement on the local channel. Now everyone knows that they are recruiting on the local, and would slander them in mail.
The shift of recruitment from Chat to Mail needs to occur to ensure professional and fair recruitment. That's my idea.
But that doesn't mean spamming it. I'm looking at you HunglikeaHorse. |

Nah, CCP will let us do what we want. This just needs awareness, nothing more. Everyone should just use in-game mail more often, because Spammers can just be blocked and their message will never go through, so I find that it's a solution to most communication problems. |
